Utilization of QRungu for Persons with Disabilities (Case Study on Deaf Persons for Ordering Menus in Restaurants)
This research is motivated by the many difficulties people with disabilities have in communicating. Deaf people are one example of people with disabilities who have difficulty communicating. One of them is difficulty ordering food and drink menus at restaurants. Because the menu in each restaurant is different, there are many restaurant menus that have unique names. Lately, there have been many restaurants that use applications that use QR codes and can be directly connected to smartphones. The QR code can indeed make it easier for every restaurant customer, but for people with hearing impairments, it is still difficult to understand unfamiliar menu names. Therefore, we as researchers realize that existing innovations must be redeveloped, and the purpose of this study is to find out more about interactions in food ordering between waiters and deaf people with the help of a QR code.Researchers used quantitative methods and used one of the stages of the ADDIE method, namely analysis and design (making QR codes and flowcharts). In the quantitative method, a survey will be conducted, and a sample will be taken from every restaurant in South Jakarta. Flowcharts are made because making an application requires a flow when running it.
